ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Jan Roszkowics was born in Poland and studied at:

• Warsaw University of Technology - Department of Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering and Aircraft Engineering (1969 - 1972).
  
  
• AGH University of Science and Technology Department of Drilling and Oil, Department of Mining and Drilling Machinery and Equipment (1972 -1976).

From 1977 to 1986 Jan worked within the mining and drilling industry with high profile companies. After obtaining extensive experience and seeing the need for innovation in the market, Jan established Rockman Exploratory Drilling in Poland during 1986.

From there the Rockman Group was founded in Yemen in 2004 which specialised as agents and representatives of Polish businesses for the oil sector industry (PGNiG), metallurgical sector (HPR) and electro-energy sector (HEATMASTERS) in the countries of the Arabian Peninsula and Africa.

Rockman Geo Exploration was thereafter established in Poland during 2012 which specialised in consulting, representation and facilitation of trade solutions for European startup companies interested in entering MEA and AFR markets.

Rockman Group (Pty) Ltd was finally established in South Africa during 2021 and currently represents European companies in South Africa and countries of the southern part of African continent with import and export related matters.
